4th Grade Rollercoaster
To wrap up our study of force and motion, 4th graders built roller coasters at home! They put their knowledge of potential energy, kinetic energy, centrifugal force, gravity, momentum, and friction to the test to make their rollercoasters successful. Simultaneously, the 4thgrade discussed the rollercoaster they have all been on these past few months while staying safe at home. They shared the ups and downs of being in quarantine and normalized the huge range of emotions experienced during this time. As a creative outlet, they wrote beautiful poems to recognize, identify, and label the rollercoaster of emotions with in house poet, Deb Studebaker.
